PCI Function Generator Card for XP PC

Anybody here have a favorite PC based waveform generator?

I think it might be time to retire my good'ol XR2206 based generator..It's been on a breadboard for years and gone through mod after mod... Sound cards are making it look dated for the audio range..

I looked at the "Gage" waveform gen for PCI as an example...cool.. But price... :( I need waveforms sometimes up to 25Mhz. More common up to 1Mhz. Sine, Square and Tri too..

Might want to buy a used one that is self contained. That's what I did. Wavetek 23 in my case (but only to 12MHz), has GPIB connectivity.

25Mhz is not low,I also think the price will not be very low.

Some days ago,I saw some articles that the wave can be generated by the serial port of computers.

"D from BC =D0=B4=B5=C0=A3=BA "

And you have had the gall to repeat pestering us before you google.
