This one's an expired patent for a Honeycrisp apple. They're very tasty by the way!!
What caught my eye was that this patent covers a particular cultivar of apples, but later genetic testing PROVED that the apple's "parents" were not the ones claimed in the patent!!
So... looks like that patent was "ripe" for patent busting. (Pardon the pun.)
