Anyone migrated Firefox to another computer by using "sync"?

Any problems/cautions? ...Jim Thompson

Worked ok from my old XP machine to a new Win10 machine. Carried over bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords etc.

Whether I really wanted things like the cookies is another matter...

if you just want a copy you can just copy over the profile folder in %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ to the new machine

Thanks! That worked. The "sync" did bookmarks, home page and cookies :-(, but failed on add-ons. ...Jim Thompson

Mozilla have a utility called "mozbackup" for doing exactly that with both FF & Thunderbird. IT works well for both backups and transferring to an other PC.
