When you're wrong and have no fallback, it's become customary around here go ad hominem and recite "cluck-cluck" and "old geezers" >:-} ...Jim Thompson

A measure of a man is how well he uses his tool, or was that tools?

So far at least two autopsies rule out any shooting of a fleeing suspect. The fleeing story looks pretty ratty.

Good on you, now if you could do better at not getting hideously misinformed that would also help.

The "quality" British Press... the papers the Brit's swear by... are on the same level as America's scandal sheets, like the New York Daily News, or Arizona's New Times. ...Jim Thompson

Jim-out-of-touch-with-reality-Thompson can't actually name any newspaper which a Brit might swear by. Right-wing nitwits like Jim and John Larkin might swear by the The Daily Telegraph, which is right-wing enough not to set US teeth on edge.
I read "The Guardian" when I was living in the UK but it's too committed to publishing all the news that's fit to print to be attractive to those on the right - it got a Conservative minister sent to prison for perjury at one point
"The Independent" was accepted as a quality newspaper, but a boring one. "The Times" used to be a quality newspaper, but it got taken over by Rupert Murdoch. "The Observer" is definitely a quality newspaper, but it's only published once a week.
It's owned by the same organisation that publishes "The Guardian"
which is a trust "which exists to secure the financial and editorial independence of The Guardian in perpetuity." Somewhat quixotic, but entirely admirable.
