OT: CloneZilla Qs

What are all of those error messages that fly by before the orange splash screen? Shouldn't they be fixed?

Then near the end, there is a message about 447(?) bytes - ??

The message like NTSF boot not being copied - ??

Sometimes i also get pages of error messages at the end when done.

Any fixes in the wings?

Thanks. Parted Magic works better, speed about the same (FAST). Instead of thousands of error messages flying by on the screen, it now is thousands of cryptic messages.

What is that bit about "fixing" the source - especially since it seems that nothing is done.

It is sourceforge; if you want the source soft it is there as well.

BTW use a released version instead of the current development version. Far fewer messages.

I picked whatever was available; do not remember if there was a list, but .GZ and source code i certainly did not want. Well, it works fine. One of these daze i will see if it barfs on copying from an 80GB HD (that has only 20GB of files) to a 40GB HD; CloneZilla totally barfs.

Yeah you'd have to resize the 80G partition down small enough to fit on the 40 first. clonezilla's not dumb enough to slently trash your data.
