OT; Any insights into airflow after slottet wall versus unslotted wall

The slotted version still creates a draft when you have constant wind blowing against it. My wife hates drafts, she would not want to sit there when that is happening.

If you want to avoid more of the wind you might consider very well secured clear plastic diverters an top of the fence. The downside is that they need to be cleaned once in a while. Or essentially every time a bird sits on there and "let's one rip".

The danish birds are not like that ;-)

So, you would vote for the unslotted version, essentially a sail/plastic all the way from the floor to the top?

Reminds me of an earlier job where we had a guys do airflow simulations on a module with holes in the enclosure, we even modelled the components on the PCB, but I did not have the design environment, so didn't learn much from that

Since you already have the slotted version you could do a genuine clinical test: Wait for a day where the wind is reasonably strong, comes from a straight direction, move the heater to the middle, then cover the outside of one side with tarp but not the other. Now have every family member sit on either side for a few minutes and hold a vote.

That would at least show the difference without the diverter.

Oh, on more thing, men don't get to vote in such a referendum.
