Haha, "Pravda, the best-selling Russian daily, reports". You know you're getting good news when it's *second hand* Pravda!
I would think it would have the opposite effect. Dynamite is often sent down wells to fracture the rock. Or the resulting molten chamber may reduce porosity once it solidifies.
