That page does not look too problematic. But since the US set many foreign DCDC controller manufacturers on a blacklist earlier this year, a lot of manufacturers have problems and many design are no longer produced.
Yes, I'm having trouble getting a meanwell 1w 5v converter. Had to order another mfg with the same footprint. Nothing seems to made stateside,except for a bbq brush.

I need a simple half-bridge or full-bridge oscillator/driver chip. One of the Ixys gate drivers might work.
I've x-rayed the commecial dc/dc converters and they are usually hairball discrete transistor things. The Murata mouse-bite PCBs, with the internal magnetics, are slick.
Diesel powered amplidynes could drive the big woofers at rock concerts. Rip peoples' clothes off.
Better than pocket lint.

I was thinking about IXDI602. It's a schmitt inverter so would oscillate easily. We stock the IXDN602, and I could add a tiny schmitt gate oscillator to it. Or even a sot-23 MEMS oscillator.
One IXD could do half or full bridge. Brutes.
No, forget the amplidynes and just mechanically couple the engine to a rotary woofer:

How about a big tank of very high pressure air, like 5000 PSI maybe, and a fast servo valve? That would be loud.
If the gas were an oxygen-propane mixture, and you ignite it, thermal expansion would add pressure gain.
That sounds like an audiophool product.

It's been done. Look up Auxetophone and Stentorphone. Horace Short. and Charles A. Parsons (of turbine fame) were among several inventors of these compressed air amplifiers. Auguste Stroh is anothr interestin audio engineer.
There is the distortion issue. We can pressurize without limit, but we can only rareify to zero PSIA. Most rock fans wouldn't notice.
