Why should anyone do that? YOU are going to "design" it........ So design it.

What is being transmitted? (data, button pushes, prescence)?

Over what medium? Hardwire, optcal, RF, sound?

Is a micro an option? Ready to go IC? Discretes?

Will it need field programmable (dip-switches, eeprom, computer programming, handheld programmer?

How many unique units?

Is there any security concerns? (as in possible cloning or monitoring of transmitter unist?

Well no matter what it is, I'm *sure* it can be done with a PIC.
