I've tried something similar many years ago, the Atkins diet. Since I like bread a lot I eventually grew sick and tired of this diet and gained every one of the lost pounds back. Heavy red meat consumption probably increases your risk for other things, like colon cancer. It would be a good idea to give it up.

Also, meat is murder.

Atkins doesn't push vegetables, though. Eating sausages dipped in butter isn't a good time for a long time.

I often have fresh mozzarella and smoked salmon for lunch.
