Problems for a year off and on with my cable connection. TV fine but internet intermittent.
It isn't the modem -- things will be fine for months, then usually a 2 or 3 day trouble span.
Educate me a little because I (as in ME) need to get to the bottom of it.
I'll assume that is a "trunk amplifier" (CCOR -- Comcast), out by the road.
I see the coax coming out of it (the case is pretty damn hot) -- what is that inline device that is covered with an AMP housing, obviously set in waterproof silicone or something. Is that a trap for the premium stuff or something?
(I know -- please don't preach, it's "Comcast's box) Just want to learn more about the cable hardwire. THANKS
