I was watching a guy I know remodel a room, and he was installing "3-way" switches on either side of the room where there was only a single switch.
This guy has only recently purchased a laptop computer, and has until recently prefered to "sit on the edge of the information superhighway", (in his words), remaining mostly ignorant of computers.
When he was about to hook up the wiring he said, "OK, now it's time to get these switches talking to each other.", using his newly learned "computer" vocabulary.
