seems unlikely for a mains powered device.

A coworker got the second-over once. He had a case full of boards and stuff but that wasn't what piqued their interest. It was the rats nest of stacked banana plugs that pushed TSAs buttons. He's Egyptian (though US citizen), didn't help.

Tough.

Not at all true. People make good money scaring people.

Do they also trigger on 'la vache que rit' (lavachequirit.com)?

Yuk, yuk, yuk. Kung foo? Yuk Moo.

Bombs with red displays are especially dangerous, but don't ignore the green-digited devices--sometimes they can fool you.

Saw those small white cubes? That's the cheese of 'the laughing cow' (la vache qui rit).

Lowest quintile, IIRC.

They're inbred. They have and run their own schools, staffed by themselves, set all their own standards. It's a culture unto itself, divorced from reality.

The SIL's masters in education thesis comprised a book report, literally a summary of an assigned book. No kidding. Rewarded with a huge, permanent pay bump, and her district gets brownie points for having such highly qualified, highly-educated educators. Win-win.

Crikey, they score lower than /journalists/!

He spelled 'best compost' incorrectly.

"Below Area, Ethnic, Cultural and Gender Studies", too!

Don't worry about any of them. They all stop at 00:00:02.

Why hasn't any of the teachers and cops noticed that the "bomb clock" was up-counting.

Reinhardt

What difference does that make? You can use the alarm to trigger a blasting cap at what ever time you chose.

But bombs always count down and you have to cut the red wire to make them stop at 00:02 :-)

Unless you are 11k feet below the sea being lit up by a green illuminator (or green alien). Then, you can't tell which wire is which on the nuclear warhead control circuit.

Hard to tell looking through the pink perfluorocarbon solution too. Then, there's all those shivers...

went up to her Mother and asked what the equator is. Her Mother went down t o the school to ask the science teacher how come her daughter did not know what the equator is. So they go to the principal and turns out the principa l doesn't know either.

riously, almost obscene. Actually it is obscene because they hasd a class p ublication entitled quite unusually -

Uh-huh, typical red state, the whole country would be like that if the GOP had its way...they like 'em ignorant.

That is why I would set it to go off at 00:01:37 - boy would that surprise them.

Euhh... was it the red/white wire, or the white/red wire?

Probably not at all, considering that it would be a few millisecond event, and nerve impulses are fairly slow.

It isn't like they play a short anthem before going off.
