This data sheet from Mouser displays fine in the Brave web browser as well as with xpdf and evince.

It's a work of fiction. No dpak fet is going to run 76 amps and 460 watts.

I do like the typ BVdss spec, which is the avalanche voltage. They don't say if the gate has a zener.

It popped up instantly for me, Firefox with Foxit Reader as the default PDF viewer.

Works fine here. Search engine on part number. Open DigiKey site. Click Datasheet. media.pdf (not the most sensible name) downloads and opens in Foxit reader. Go to download folder and open file with notepad++, note %PDF-1.5 which is not the most recent but shouldn't be an issue.

But bigger is better for marketing, like 2N3055 115W power npn but we're not saying what kind of liquid cooling is needed for that.

IR started the absurd mosfet specs by using flowing liquid cooling and tiny footnotes about "packaging limited."

Everybody else had to go along to be competitive.

A dpak solders to a PCB. No PCB is going to soak up 100 watts, much less 460.

It opens fine in Foxit and all pages are viewable with no corruption that I can see. That's sufficient test for me.

I don't recall a recent case of a pdf not opening in a perfectly viewable way unless the file is corrupted.

I found a good version from littelfuse and a preliminary release in datasheet archive.

Only the distributors' versions were an issue.

File has data after %%EOF but I don't see anything else unusual. What happens when you try to open it?

Versions for comparison:

Trying to open either mouser or digikey files in or out of a web browser using either adobe reader or foxit gets an incomplete corrupted or not a pdf notice.

Files from Littelfuse website or preliminary version from dayasheet archive are legible.

Notepad sees text of the illegible version as adobe v1.4 linear. old and recent legible versions are v1.4 flat and v1.5 linear.

Compare files:

Sorry, that was vendor V1.5 linear unreadable old V1.4 linear readable new V1.5 filter/flat readable.

Now I see that Foxit reader shows 7 pages.

But opening it directly in Firefox or Edge shows an 8th page which is the littlefuse web page data at the end of the file after %%EOF

It's likely that some readers are confusd by %%EOF not being the end of the file.

The 'media' file comes from digikey. The mouser version has a 'media-number' label - which I didn't save.

I bet all the strange stuff was some kind of tracker, intended to generate sales leads.
