Anybody know where I can get a cheapo 115VACin to ~163VDCout ~200W smps with good isolation?
The idea is to dodge buying a ~200W isolation transformer.
And to avoid doing something goofy like: E*bay 12V smps + E*bay automotive inverter with 'Pure Sine'.

In the past I have used car battery transformers back to back in order to get an isolated mains supply (240V UK)

If your just looking for isolation 1:1 you can pick up this for under
50 bucks. You couldnt build one for cheaper.500VAI got during one of there sales for 43 bucks. Ive been abuseing it testing a flyback ,so far so good.
Nice tempting price.. But at 15.30lbs weight.. guessing $40.00 in Purolator ground shipping.
Rounding everything up... About $100.00 for the Tenma isolation transformer . Huh... :) I can't imagine an smps near equivalent being much less expensive.

Nope only 12 bucks ups air overnight. It was two days late because all of the bad weather here.
I Forgot that the delay was becuse it came from a seperate warehouse.
Newark shipping express overnight is pretty reasonable.The price is $12 for 50lbs or less.You have other options but the default is always the best deal ,in my case anyways. Considering I pay 8$ for two to three day deliverys from Digikey and a minumum order is requiried or you get a handling fee its pretty reasonable.
Heres my invoice (About $11 in other stuff).Just the transformer taxes and shipping would be $62.
