What's involved in making an infrared transmitter and receiver that could be used for an audio link over 4 - 5 metres, such as is used for remote headphones. Mono would be a good start, but stereo would be even better.
I'd like to build something along those lines. Are the IR components readily available, and is any special focussing of the IR beam required?
Could someone give me a steer to a web-site(s) that might contain info on such a project.
