You do know that every single device that puts data on the line will have the same problem- requiring that whatever so-called matching you use will have to be applied to each and every device, and at low impedance this will load the hell out of everything since (duh) they are all in parallel.

I guess thats a good reason if youve already paid for a huge qunatity of the stuff. Otherwise I'd suggest buying compatible cable.
Can you not simply tweak the Rs in the output stage feeding the cable?
