I got Smart Metered Today

^simplistic dumbfuck^

Bullshit. He ain't all that, and neither are you for thinking he is.

His stupidity goes far deeper than that. Do not allow yourself to be blind to it

He's listed as J Sheppard living with Rita J Shepard (86) and Jack V Shepard (87). (760) 598-1123

1950 Cherrywood Street, Vista, CA 92081-7359

He could be in his early 50's living with Mommy and Daddy. It's possible that he's Jack V Shepard, but I doubt he's 87. I think it's more likely he's an an adopted little bastard.

I knew he was formerly of Oceanside, CA because he posted with his IP address showing in his post headers once.

Some there certainly do.

The same can be said of SF.

Almost got the name right. It is .apps and the bubble will go .crapps.

3000 vertical in 105,600 horizontal is about a 3% grade, not all that daunting. The real issue is that will be done at 200+ mph, not more than 6 minutes, serious issue unless you pressurize the passenger cars. Don't forget the approximately 10 degrees F temperature drop due to atmospheric pressure change.

That depends on who does the engineering. So far it is all contracted out.

Not a bit. SF has real neighborhoods, mostly separated by geograpic/geologic features. Neighborhoods have distinct cultures and architectures and climates. We have a real high-rise downtown, a now-hip Mission District, flat burbs out by the ocean, houses on cliffs, beaches/mountains/canyons/coyotes/blackberries, stairways, all sorts of different stuff. Not many chain stores or food franchises. All in 7x7 miles.

And we have views.

Where do you live?

Probably so, but there will be some important survivors. The cash register biz will be largely destroyed by iPad apps, for example.

No, the *other* sort of engineer. ...and brakeman, and conductor, and mechanic, and switchman - all union. We're not unionized. Politicians don't care about us.

Also, don't forget the supervisors and political pay-off jobs in the front office. There should be plenty of graft to go around.

interrupts is vast.

every storm,

falling trees do not damage the power lines.

Well do some more checking on just how frequent storm induced power outages are in EU and US (to get something like comparable areas). The US total population is less than half that of EU. Consider how much wilderness area and parks the US has as compared to EU. (Hint the US has single parks bigger than mid sized EU nations.) Think about 3000 mi = (4800 km) by 1200 mi (1900 km), or just overlay a same scale map. Then you = have more like enough information to properly set up scale comparisons.

Just once is more than enough to have something like a 25 KVA MG set for real backup. Depending on locale, good luck getting the permits, especially for the proper quarterly testing.

If a street lamp uses a 600V bulb, how is your stupid claim of how it is set up going to feed that?

Time to brick it! They're fairly easy to defeat.

The only benefit to smart meters is that they can charge different rates for different times of day more easily than they used t be able to do.

They've been able to read the meters via RF for at least the last decade or so. Didn't require a smart meter to do that.

Soooo, that's not how lighting circuits are ran, ever? Please, do elaborate.

Or if you cannot, then STFU :)
