** Pretty funny.

Reminds me of the time I was trying to explain to a male friend the benefit of turning up the thermostat on a 50 litre water heater.

He just could NOT grasp that having hotter water in the heater resulted in more usable hot water for showing or filling the bath etc.

He just kept repeating that is was still the same amount of hot water....

Someone should have told him that the water temperature is "a factor".

This video makes me sad. I don't think his wife is dumb, but arrogant, which could be the reason that she didn't learn the basics of physics and mathematics back in school. This is a problem of the wrong role model of women in many countries, but it gets better nowadays.

And the video makes me sad, because her husband published it on Youtube.

My wife *cannot* read a map well enough to get across the street. It's just not going to happen. She simply isn't capable of a mental 2-D model of even the neighborhood. If she was used to taking a second right, and then a left, to get somewhere, she'd have no way to guess which way to go at the second turn, if she had to take the first right, instead. After >40 years of this, I just do all the navigation (and driving). She doesn't like it when I don't ask directions, though. "I'm not lost, I just don't know exactly where we are now." I've found directions from random people (gas stations, whatever) just get me more lost.

The only way she survived the several moves was a GPS, and now her phone has one (good thing, because she's moving to Atlanta in a couple of months).
