I have a General Standards PC104P-24DSI12-12-SF-S-PLL board:
Now I need to separate them and I find pulling them apart is much more difficult than connecting them. The extraction force of an individual socket and pin is not great. But in this case that extraction force is multiplied by the many that compose the PC104P bus. The total extraction force is a great one, as if they were glued together. I am concerned that if I apply sufficient force to separate them I will damage something, most especially when the extraction force suddenly gives way many many of the pins are already extracted. Things may go askew and pins can get bent. I need to know how this can be safely done and if there is any equipment designed to do this.
