I have plans to assmble a SIMPLE Date-'clock' Basic parts being; CLOCK CHIP, DISPLAY DRVR, LED, LIGHT-CONVER. (power source).
Any reccommendations or Tips, would be appreciated.

Follow the suggestions or instructions published by the Clock Chip manufacturer. Duhhhh

You can't just come in here saying "Show us your TIPS!" without some indication of your effort so far, such as what components and architecture you've selected.
