The govt already has a way. Totally ignore them until their unemployment bennies run out, then eliminate them from the stats. Been working, so far.

Yeah, that works too. The only serious metric is the fraction of the population that works.

The current 65% isn't really bad, but it looks to be declining.

The unemployment rate has nothing to do with unemployment insurance or "bennies".
