Yes, that was the main idea i had, but any scheme that can take that energy and "move" it either back to the input (supply source) or (better yet) "move" it to aid the output is commendable. Complaining about excessive snubber power waste just does not "fly" and does not get "back" for "efficiency". (((ooohhhh, could not resist.....)))

The Vlad memorial converter we were talking about a few months back is a good example of recycling the leakage inductance energy.
