Is it possible to filter a specific voice? If yes, how? I would seriously like to design a filter to mute the sound on my tv, or disable the speakers, for all Billy Mays commercials. That guy is beyond irritating. As soon as I hear his voice I am reaching for the remote and whatever button I hit first to shut him up, whether it's the mute, power, or channel buttons. I am not a violent person, but if someone gave me the chance, I'd knock his teeth out. Whoever thinks he sells products knows nothing about advertising. But that's aside from the point. I seriously want to build a filter that disables my tv sound instantly when that asshole comes on. The 3 to 5 seconds it takes me to grab the remote and silence the asshole is more than I can take of his voice.
Anyone have any ideas how this could be done? I'm sure that based on volume alone, his voice would mute, but that would possibly mute loud portions of movies too. The filter has to be based mostly on his voice alone..
