Faster Browsing on Electronics Distributor Sites

I'm using IE6, well...just cause it's there which is probably not a good excuse..Anyways...

Anybody switched to another brower (Chrome?) and suddenly noticed a shocking amount of performance while surfing on the Mouser and Digikey sites?

If you want to improve surfing speed, get a browser that has an AdBlock capability/extension (Opera/Gecko). You can sorta add to / improve this on standards-compliant stuff using GreaseMonkey scripts:[1]

The NoScript extension for Gecko-based browsers is kinda like a software firewall in its tweakability and can omit crap you don't need.

Not downloading useless junk improves your effective bandwidth.

...and the size of your pipe has the biggest effect. Most of the HTML/JavaScript rendering claims by browser vendors are just guilding the lily. . . [1] That mechanism can remove other annoyances as well:
