I don't know, it happens once in a while. :-/

Anyway, it's on a server somewhere, I found it by searching googlegroups: ============================================== Telcom Hi, I want to build a simple transmitter / receiver device to detect 50Hz from the domestic wiring system i.e twin and earth wire 2.5 mm squared thru a brick wall about 100mm. Have googled without success. Any help would be appreciate David L. Jones replied:

Don't bother. You can buy them cheap from hardware stores and the like. They are built into many Stud Finders. Dave.

========================================

I used to have a tracer tool like this, Velleman makes a kit that looks similar to it:

Dumbass. He was talking about Usenet news server practice, not your personal client set-up.

Don't forget the $398 tax per newsgroup that Obama just added. :(

Yo, AlwaysWrong. Standard time to live for usenet text posts is 30 days, and for binary posts not often over 7 days. But many last almost forever within archive sites. But i doubt that you have enough memory to recall that Google took the option on buying DejaNews. .

Giganews retains the messages in their text newsgroups back to 2003, and their binaries newsgroup for over four months. Giganews is not an archive site. Some NNTP servers are run by cheap bastards.

You're an idiot, Terrell. The archive is now several TB in size, and keeping the archive would mean many thousands of dollars in hardware. Many more than a low retention setup needs.

Imature little pussy boy Palmer chimes in with more immature baby bullshit.

Par for the course for a retarded little bastard like Bill Palmer.

Maybe one day you'll actually make a post that is contributory to some cause other than exercising your sub-human retardation skills.

Hey, DimBulb. You might not have noticed, but 1TB drives are now less than $100. A few of them isn't going to bankrupt anyone.

My host is coretel.net and it seems they keep posts on their server for almost two years. It used to be that they disappeared after about 6 months.

You could store all of Dimbulb's knowledge on a single sided, single density floppy, with 175 KB left over.
