Could anyone please explain in brief about piezo electric resonator.....

Like a crystal only cheaper and less accurate.

Ok thank u.

Just i want to know about the purpose of the device.(I dont know anything regarding this)

Any idea as to if they would work as 10Mbit/s ethernet clock .. ?

My worries were with clock stability esp jitter, not frequency.

(Guess 100Mbps operation is not feasable)

If you want a 10MHz clock then yes -

will work fine ( the one on the second row is 6-13Mhz). Take a look at:

If you're worried about that you may as well go with a crystal - they aren't all that much more expensive for one-off projects and are practically drop-in replaceable.
