What fuse?
Designing in any fire is a dumb idea.
yeah, at zero voltage, so an undefined amount of energy.
real diodes don't fail as superconductors.

If they were, there would be no heat = no explosion. There is (resistance), so there can be. ...and often is.
Real diodes fail with a low enough resistance (not zero, of course) to cause fuses, transformers, PCB traces to blow.
- Utter nonsense.
- There aren't any fuses in the path. That's the point.
