DC/DC converter - 8KW

LOL (actually really laughing out loud, great punch line)

I have been involved in a MW design (not principal engineer by any way). Those ran just below 10kHz, IGBTs

The cables connecting the electrodes on a big arc furnace, as thick as your thigh, in bunches, dance nicely when the arcs strike. Moving maybe a ton of copper about a foot, with a 300 ton furnace.

As folks have pointed out, your skills and the demands of this job are far apart. There is one way it can be done without much skill: a rotary convertor. The downside is in the region of 60% efficiency, so only fit for equipment seeing occasional use.

Thank you for your diplomacy. Sally says 'low cost' is much preferred to 'cheap'. Damn, is that another run in your fishnets, Sal?
