CSTN Display + Cable issue?

I am working off the Atmel AT91SAM9261 development kit! This kit has the ARM9 on it along with a TFT screen that works perfectly with the device.

I have a PCB that I have wired up to the prototyping area of the AT91SAM9261-EK. The PCB that I have wired up to the development kit has

*no* power going to it but just a Color STN display connected.

The way it is now I have an application running on the development kit that shows off all the features of the TFT screen. There is a 4 wire cable that I have coming off the dev kit that includes LCDHSYNK, LCDDOTCK, LCDDEN and LCDVSYNC. These are all outputs from the microcontroller and shouldn't change the screen in anyway if I just have a cable connected - they are just leads coming off some tests points. If I have this cable disconnect things work great.

If I connect the cable containing LCDHSYNK, LCDDOTCK, LCDDEN and LCDVSYNC from the development board to my PCB the display will get messed up and just shows some parallel lines across the screen. When I disconnect the cable the screen returns to normal displaying the graphics.

It seems from my experiments today that my cabling is causing some type of problem. Wanted to see if you guys had any ideas on what could be causing this. Thank you.
