Hi all
I am repairing an older TV set where there 2 of the driver transistors are not too good. But this C2229 is not available in Elfa or Ooomipood
Can anyone give some suggestions for where to look to replacement?

Not sure of any direct replacements, but before you go ahead looking for one, make sure that the part you have is not actually a 2SC2229 (Y). Their specs look somewhat different, esp. max. collector current.

Odds are its a 2SC. Either way, if you look at the specs of both you should find plenty of Trs that can do the job. I never really saw the use in repl acement tables, since the replacements were only suitable some of the time. It just makes more sense to ask 'what specs do I need here?' Then 'which d evices I have in stock can do that?' The answer is usually lots.
