(CS)C2229 replacement

Not sure of any direct replacements, but before you go ahead looking for one, make sure that the part you have is not actually a 2SC2229 (Y). Their specs look somewhat different, esp. max. collector current.

Odds are its a 2SC. Either way, if you look at the specs of both you should find plenty of Trs that can do the job. I never really saw the use in repl acement tables, since the replacements were only suitable some of the time. It just makes more sense to ask 'what specs do I need here?' Then 'which d evices I have in stock can do that?' The answer is usually lots.
