So it didn't flatter Fred Bloggs' great and powerful friends. The Proceedin gs of the (US) National Academy of Science is a fairly high-impact journal, and they publish peer-reviewed research papers, which tend to be a cut abo ve mindless drivel, but Fred has remarkably high - or remarkably idiosyncra tic - standards.
