I agree. They're both uglier than sin.

The only thing I drove that was orange was a '68 GMC handivan. Someone had used acrylic paint over enamel, so I had orange paint with bad orange peel. It was a beater service truck that I used to service electronics at schools.

Curiously a secretary where I worked also had an orange, orange-peel car. It was also the first car I saw that also ran on LPG (early 80s), thereby losing much of its boot space.

This was a 108" wheelbase van that the previous owner had shoehorned a Chevy 283 V8 into a body built for a straight six cylinder. That left almost no room to work on it. The GMC version had some galvanized parts in high rust ares, vs the Chevy version that was all cold rolled steel.

Her is an example of the solid body version that I had. I bought it right after I finished my time in the U.S. Army to restart my repair business.
