I need a 60K resistor and have lots of 10K 1206-size quad r-packs on the board, but I just can't make myself draw six resistors in series.
can't do it

It's ok. They dont always solder down properly. You know there is a 60.4k value?. That's within 1%.
Cheers
Put the sections on different sheets.

I don't think we have trouble soldering them. But the game is to minimize the number of diferent parts on the BOM, namely the number of feeders that have to be loaded on the pick-and-place.
This particular resistor sets the frequency of a little buck switcher, which isn't very critical.
Two 120k resistors in parallel?
Only if they are already being used. Otherwise its still another reel. John
This is the luxury we hobbyists enjoy. No worries about minimizing the BOM; no worries about having 6x10k resistors in series. Anything goes in hobbyworld! :-D <and chortling like a Bond villain>
So how many white cats do you have?

PS: Mr. Wint died a few days ago
make a new footprint/symbol that hides the connections of four in pack in series ;)
