I did my first LiIon charge/discharge controller chip before there was a decent schematic capture program, so my drawings are on paper. So I redrew it so I could post it here almost 10 years ago. Note that the MOS "bodies" are "belly-to-belly", allowing integration on-chip in one isolation well....
If I can find the originals I'll post... the whole chip was on a single E-size >:-} ...Jim Thompson

The application here is for battery pack protection, part of the battery pack itself, where it interrupts current flow under fault conditions, does not deal with the complications of a charge controller.
Mine was _in_ the battery pack. LiIon packs _generally_ include both charge and discharge controlling... for flame prevention >:-} ...Jim Thompson

If you find any really low leakage FETs with low Rdson, and care to share the part numbers, I'd be interested.
