Amateur. Think about it, you'll see what you bungled.

It 404's for me.

Class AB isn't as evil as people think There are lots more places to screw up amplifier design than crossover distortion.

google groups mangles anything with an @ symbol in it. you have to make a special effort to see what was really written. (click on the ... in the original)

or maybe try this URL instead:

I had to drop in the op amps for some reason, but I got it loaded. So you use a PNP current source feeding a NPN is a common emitter gain stage with an op amp to control it. [It didn't run correctly when I simulated it.]

So why pick this over say a N-fet follower pulled on by a NFET common source current source. Obviously the N-fet follower is in a feedback loop.

I also did a model with power op amps 11 amp curret limit. A few devices in paralell and a lot of cooling will be needed to deal with the power dissipation. I will upload that one when I get it cleaned up a bit. I was thinking peltier devices and fans for cooling.

Modular design unsing power op amps. Adjust values to limit power dissipated by each modular section. Use as many modular units as required.

Do you have some sort of objective specification for this project? You started out class A, now you are essentially parallel COTS opamps. My gut feeling is you are not going to achieve much beyond doing a "novel" design, the kind of thing you would see in Electronic Letters (if that journal still exists).

If you run the model you will see that the circuit is running class a with one amp as the current source and the other as the current sink. I want to just use it for a monitor amplifier.

So what is so wrong with class AB? You get better damping for one thing. Again, you seem more interested in making a novel circuit than achieving a specification.

Are you sure this design will be stable without a Zoebel?

I will find out.

That's because you're reading from Google, which munges URLs & email addresses. Get a real newsreader & these things will display correctly.

Playing with module packaging.
