I am looking for the pin-out or, even better, the datasheet of a ROM from Oki: M5268 / MSM5268. Anyone out there that can help me? I've googled all over the internet but without any result.
Thanks, Jenalee K.

ok i believe you, i get same garbage as when i tried to find an obsolete IC recently
try google on just ... MSM5260
hint pick the link that refs www_datasheetcatalog_com
why not just the link ? well you'll have more fun finding it :) robb

damn, tricked me , now i have two duplicate posts, try not to put duplicate news group names in send to line as you get multi-posts and a flogging if any of the natives notice
BTW the link to okisemi.com is even better :)
Thank you, that's very helpfull of you. Except that I am looking for the MSM5268 and not the MSM5260. And that I did try Oki semi, including their obsolete components section before posting here. And that I am pretty sure the (MS)M5268 is a rom and not an LCD driver (as it is the main component (together with two capacitors) of a so-called "rom pack"). And that they certainly do not have the same number of pins. BTW, neither does the MSM5265, in case you wanted to suggest that one.
Thanks, Jenalee K.

oh well, is it possible it was special order item ? not available for general public perusing ? there was a m5267 also but it was a driver chip as well just smaller how many pins does the chip have ?

44 pins, 4x 11. Pins 1 to 11 are brought out on an edge connector, pins 23-33 are wired together but go nowhere and pins 12-22 & 34-44 are not even soldered. There is 10n between pin 1 & 3 and 10n between pin 1 & 4 so pin 1 is probably common. Oh well, I guess I have to get the scope out.
Thanks, Jenalee K.
Your description matches surprisingly well the RAM chip HD61914 used in old Casio calculators. Please visit my web page
