I'm looking at a circuit based on an NE570 compandor chip (as described in
- What are the key differences between the NE570, NE571, and SA571? They don't seem to just be different manufacturers' numbers, as for instance I see all three referred to (but not distinguished) in a Philips datasheet.
- Is the NE570 still available (in small quantities)? I didn't find any variants at Mouser, Digikey; found only the NE571 at Jameco.
- Is there some newer chip that is a pin-compatible improved replacement? (E.g., lower noise, better bandwidth, improved linearity...)
Thanks for any help!
