It is in PLCC-44 package and inside Epson D88 elcheapo inkjet that I need to modify. It drives smallish 2-phase stepper that moves everyting except printhead.
I suspect it is some standard part that has been tweaked for Epson, but since it is somewhat dated, I can't find any similar part in PLCC-44 to try using as a start point.
I've searched everywhere and found just parts, no documentation so far...
