DC plug identification help

Sep 22, 2006 3 Replies

Hi all, I'm trying to identify what kind of AC/DC wall wart adapter I need, based on the female end on a speaker.

Its measurements are as follows:

  • outside hole diameter ~5.9 mm
  • diameter of center pin receptacle ~2.7 mm
  • diameter of center pin hole ~1.1 mm

Has anyone seen a wall wart plug with these dimensions? I can't find 'em on digikey. Thanks for any help with it!

The plug size is irrelevant I'm afraid. You also need to consider polarity for a DC supply.

Buy a universal - it'll have one that's close enough.

The polarity is identified on the speaker: center pin is positive, outer ring is ground. I thought that was standard, actually...
