exactly, my theory is be honest and state who you are when your selling stuff

that way at least people can take you seriously, hence why i never hide when selling things, i.e. you know its me and no one else

It's happened to me a few times, but seems limited to computer equipment type ads. When I sold a laptop I got spammed with Chinese laptop supplier ads. The bot somehow sends you a message via the usual eBay system.
