No, but do something wrong/questionable and you will surely hear about it.

The number one rule: No top posting. In other words, your reply always goes at the bottom.

Generally a friendly group that is often very helpful.

There must be something more important to worry about than whether the reply is at the top or bottom of a posting.

It's a silly "rule" that only helps people that use antiquated news readers.

How about post>

It's an important rule which makes Usenet messages readable and understandable even after multiple nested quotations. So, please do not top-post. Your answer belongs after (or intermixed with) the quoted material to which you reply, after snipping all irrelevant material. See the following links:

Did you try a web search? (Note: I did, and didn't come up with anything useful, but maybe you'll do better).

Do you need to implement control loops in software? "Applied Control Theory for Embedded Systems" gives you just what it says. See details at

_And_ -- there don't seem to be any really frequently asked questions here, with the exception of "How do I become an embedded engineer". They're more spread in a thin, wide layer over the subject of embedded systems.

So a FAQ would be hard to compile.

I agree. Generally I prefer top posting. The most recent stuff is first. Seems to make sense in a reverse polish notation sort of way.

But like you, I can play by the rules to reduce strife...
