If they're going to revise the stepping to fix the issues they might as well add floating point to the Hazard3 cores.
Adding FP to the cores is a lot bigger change than just dropping in a version of the 3rd party pinpad which works to spec. Anyway if you want FP use the vastly more capable ARM cores, the RISC V ones are just toys.
