I'm using Raspbian Jessie, and in the Desktop I went to Preferences --> Main Menu Editor and rearranged the order in which menu items are displayed, since I prefer them to be arranged alphabetically.
After OK'ing the changes, the menu is still in its haphazard order. I even tried exiting the desktop and started X again, just in case that was needed... but it made no difference.
Does anyone know if there is a workaround? Thanks.
