Yamaha receiver model:RX-V1070

Yamaha home receiver (amp) model:RX-V1070,year:1996 (guess),no power or display only relay click.Found the the right channel parts defective:


2SA1302=NTE2329
2SC3281=NTE2328 Q139=2SA1145=NTE32 Q136=2SC2705=NTE31 R225=0.22 ohm,5 watt,dual emitter resistor

I need the values for these:



R223= (guessing it's 760 ohms,1/4 w) R201= (guessing it's 922 ohms,1/4 w) R202= (guessing it's 920 ohms,1/4 w)



as the other channels pcb layout is similar but confusing and the part # lookup sites below don't list them:

Beware of phony transistors. The 2SC3281 and 2SA1302 are no longer made. NTE has also been reported as supplying fakes.

The modern equivalents are 2SC5200 and 2SA1943.

In the US a company called B & D Enterprises supplies top-quality original transistors.

Google "Bdent.com"

The display backlight lamp may also be bad, that was quite common on these.

Are they fuseable,metal film or metal oxide? also Mark do you have any info on the lamp?.Thanks.

Most Yamaha lamps are 14 volts. I just read the resistor values from the schematic - it didn't say whether fusible, though I'm sure it specifies carbon or whichever in the parts list.

Yamaha's positon is to replace them with flameproof (fusible) types. Absolutely do not replace fusible types with carbon, anyway.

If the originals really burned they were carbon.
