what has happened to cause this? sometimes it becomes garbled.

Are supposed to guess the Make of your TV and Model Number ?

Perhaps a name change to sci.electronics.repair.psychic.tech is in order.

Leonard

Roland: No make or model number, no initial basic troubleshooting results or meter readings from you, no technical observations or more detailed explainations of the problem ..... the best advice you can get is to TAKE your television to a service shop for a proper repair or at the very least, a repair cost estimate so you can make an intelligent repair decision with facts instead of Internet or telephone wild ass guesses. -- Best Regards, Daniel Sofie Electronics Supply & Repair

You've hooked up your webcam to your TV?
