Replacing the FBT

Jul 27, 2005 3 Replies

Hi ALL,

I'm not experienced in TV repair... but my F-19 TV went down and I could see sparks leaking from the FBT (Eldor 1352.5016).

I replaced it with an equivalent one (HR-8325)... bout now there is no raster, although the CRT heaters are lit and a sudden light appears around the screen at the demagnetization pulse.

Have I to readjust some values or replace some other components? Which checking steps should I follow to bring it back to life?

Please help me  to solve this "black-out"

Many thanks in advance

Are you sure no modifications were required for the HR sub? Also don't forget to adjust the Screen control on the fbt if it has one. You might also have interchanged the focus and G2 wires to the neck board.

And maybe the line output transistor got fried when the old FBT died...

turn up the screen control, a raster should appear. if you get a horizontal line check the fed to the vertical IC. Ben
