Power-One MAP80-1012 Repair

Dec 19, 2006 1 Replies

I have a Power-One open frame SMPS Type MAP80-1012, about 6 years old. The capacitor of the DRC snubber circuit across the main MOSFET ( Type ST HV82 or STW7NA80 ) has failed. The resistor is a white ceramic 5W

270 Ohm resistor and the diode is a BYV26E Ultrafast 1000V 1A diode. The failed capacitor is numbered C10 and is located between the diode bridge and the 270 Ohm ceramic resistor.

Can anyone please tell me what the value of the Failed Snubber capacitor was ? Any other info like circuit diagram or service manual will also be most helpful.

Thanks, AdR
