I have a panasonic cd deck and it turns on and acts in which it is playing as cd but no sound is coming out of speakers and i know thee speakers are hooked up correctly...........it is a Panasonic CQ-C8400U it is a 60x4 cd player it is a nice deck i would like to get fixed............???

This model is NOT one of the newest ones........ If it is a "new" purchase take it back to the store for a refund or replacement. If you bought it used from a friend take it back and get your money back or have him show you how to make it work. If you bought it at a garage sale or thrift store for cheap, then you are SOL..... so you may have to take it to a service shop to send it to a Panasonic service center.

i have had it for years......but the store i bought it at clsoed down Ultimate Electronics.......there isnt one in my area......i learned that if i hook up an IPOD to the cd player it works .....so you have an answer to that
The laser probably went bad . new bookshelf stereos are not that expensive anymore .
