Need help with Pioneer Car CD player CDX M30

Hello,

I have found that my spindle motor has gone bad. However, I am unsure as to how to remove it. If anyone can give me step by step directions or has a service manual available. It would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Removing the spindle motor from most players is a quite straightforward job - assuming that you can get the deck out into a position where you can work on it, of course ... However, when the new motor is fitted, the positioning of the turntable, which has to be transferred, is critical. The error in height should not be more than +/- 0.2 mm. Pioneers often have a turntable height gauge moulded into the plastic of the deck. It looks like a horseshoe, and you remove it with a pair of small cutters. It then slips onto the top of the motor, and the turntable is pushed down until it *just* pinches the gauge, which is then slid back out. Failure to observe this results in a focus offset error, which may be too much for the focus servo to cope with, especially in a mobile application.
